Colorado Springs Poetry Slam vol. 1 Anthology

Submission Guidelines for the “Colorado Springs Poetry Slam vol. 1” anthology book. 

We are looking for original and unpublished poems to include in our upcoming poetry anthology book. The theme of the book is “Live your truth”. We welcome poems that celebrate diversity, inclusion, culture, mental health and well being, as well as expose the hidden truths and lies of the world.

If you are interested in submitting your poems, please follow these guidelines:

- You can submit up to **five poems** for consideration. Each poem should be no longer than **one page**.

- Please send your poems as **Word documents** or **PDF files** to our email address: cospringspoetry@yahoo.com. Include your name, contact information, and a short bio (up to 100 words) in the body of the email.

- The deadline for submissions is **January 31, 2025**. We will notify you of our decision by **February 15, 2024**

- If your poems are selected for the book, you will receive **five copies of the book** as a token of our appreciation. You will also have your picture, interview or bio included in the book, along with your poems.

- By submitting your poems, you agree to grant us the non-exclusive right to publish them in the book and in any related promotional materials. You will retain the copyright of your poems and can publish them elsewhere after the book is released.

- We do not charge any fees for submissions or accept any payments for inclusion in the book. The Colorado Springs Poetry Slam aims to promote poetry and support emerging poets and will distribute  this book online as well as during live events & bookstores, coffee shops etc…around the Colorado Springs area and utilize the funds to help promote events, workshops, classes, etc.
